[바이오타임즈] 새론의원이 지난 9월 5일부터 6일까지 부산 벡스코 제1전시장에서 열린 ‘2025 부산국제의료관광컨벤션’에 참가해 글로벌 바이어들과의 활발한 비즈니스 교류를 성사시키며 의료관광 허브 도시 부산의 위상 제고에 기여했다고 밝혔다.
올해로 17회를 맞은 부산국제의료관광컨벤션은 부산시 주최로 열리는 국내 대표 의료관광 산업 전시회로, 의료·웰니스·산업·관광이 융합된 복합 플랫폼으로 자리잡고 있다. 이번 행사는 시민건강박람회와 글로벌헬스케어위크와도 연계해 다양한 시너지 효과를 창출했다.
새론의원은 이번 부산국제의료관광컨벤션 참여를 통해 총 14건의 해외 바이어 비즈니스 미팅을 성사하며, 해외 시장의 높은 관심을 실감케 했다. 특히 유럽과 동남아 바이어들을 중심으로, 고령화 사회에 대비한 줄기세포 치료와 조직 재생 중심의 의료 기술에 대한 문의가 집중되었다.
최근 해외 관광객 사이에서 부산을 중심으로 한 의료+관광 복합 수요가 증가하고 있는 가운데, 한국 의료 기술 전반에 대한 관심 역시 함께 높아지고 있다. 검진·치료·미용·성형 등 K-바이오의 다양한 분야가 주목받고 있으며, 이 중에서도첨단재생의료 분야인 세포치료는 그 관심과 수요가 급격히 느는 추세다.
새론의원 주용민 원장은 “글로벌 바이어들이 한국 의료의 기술력과 안정성에 깊은 인상을 받았으며, 특히 새론의원의 세포치료 기반 재생의학 솔루션에 큰 관심을 보였다”며 “이번 컨벤션을 통해 국내 첨단 의료 기술의 성과를 해외에 알리고, 향후 본격적인 해외 진출 및 의료관광 협력의 기반을 다지는 계기가 됐다”고 전했다.

[Bio Times] Representative Saeron announced that he participated in the ‘2025 Busan International Medical Tourism Convention’ held at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1 in Busan from September 5th to 6th and contributed to enhancing the status of Busan as a medical tourism hub city by successfully engaging in active business exchanges with global buyers.
Now in its 17th year, the Busan International Medical Tourism Convention, hosted by the city of Busan, is Korea’s leading medical tourism industry exhibition and has established itself as a multi-faceted platform converging healthcare, wellness, industry, and tourism. This event also collaborated with the Citizens’ Health Expo and Global Healthcare Week, creating diverse synergies.
Through its participation in the Busan International Medical Tourism Convention, Saeron successfully held 14 business meetings with overseas buyers, demonstrating the strong interest shown in the international market. Inquiries focused particularly on stem cell therapy and tissue regeneration-focused medical technologies for aging societies, particularly from buyers in Europe and Southeast Asia.
Amidst the recent surge in demand for medical and tourism services, particularly in Busan, among international tourists, interest in Korean medical technology in general is also on the rise. Various K-bio fields, including screening, treatment, beauty, and plastic surgery, are attracting attention. Among these, cell therapy, a cutting-edge regenerative medicine field, is experiencing rapid growth in interest and demand.
Director Yongmin Joo of Saeron Hospital said, “Global buyers were deeply impressed by the technological prowess and stability of Korean medical care, and showed great interest in Saeron Hospital’s cell therapy-based regenerative medicine solutions.” He added, “This convention served as an opportunity to promote the achievements of Korea’s cutting-edge medical technology overseas and lay the foundation for full-scale overseas expansion and cooperation in medical tourism in the future.”
